Baobab Suite
A corner suite on the rim with the full view of the migration corridor. Outdoor shower in the canopy, copper soaking bath on the deck, mosquito net canopy bed.
The view does most of the work
Baobab is the suite people remember. Set on the eastern corner of the lodge, it has a wraparound private deck that follows the rim. From the bed you watch first light come over the corridor; from the bath you watch it leave again twelve hours later.
Inside is hand-built. Mvule hardwood floors, stone walls, a thatched makuti ceiling that breathes through the night. The mosquito net canopy is hand-stitched. The bedside lamps are brass. The throws are Maasai red and indigo blue.
Outside, the deck wraps the corner. There is a copper soaking bath, an outdoor shower under the acacia canopy, two day-beds, and a small writing table. A baobab seedling planted on the deck the year the suite was built (2014) gives the room its name.
