Acacia Suite
Set deeper in the grove than Baobab. Stone fireplace, slower light, the right room for shoulder-season evenings and an early dinner by the fire.
Built for the long evening
Acacia is the suite our returning guests ask for. It sits deeper into the grove than Baobab, set behind two grown acacia tortilis trees that throw dappled shade across the deck through the afternoon. The view is intimate rather than panoramic.
The defining feature is the stone fireplace. The chimney is part of the wall, the mantel is a single piece of mvule, and the basket is filled every morning with split olive wood. From May to September the fire is lit at five and burns until you turn in.
Outside, the deck is private behind a low stone wall. There is an outdoor shower set into the canopy, two leather butterfly chairs, and a small dining table for fireside dinners. A long-eared owl roosts in the acacia above the deck most nights of the year.

Acacia is at its best in shoulder season
The fire, the dappled afternoon light, the cooler nights. April-May and November are our quietest months and arguably the best for this room.
